B.Q. Chen, X.W. Liu and H.B. Yuan et al. (2014, MNRAS, 443, 1192) combined the photometric catalog of the Xuyi Schmidt Telescope Photometric Survey of the Galactic Anticentre (XSTPS-GAC) with those of 2MASS and WISE, and built a multi-band photometric stellar sample of about 30 million stars and applied spectral energy distribution (SED) fitting to the sample. The best-fit extinction and distance information of more than 13 million stars were derived from the SED fitting algorithm, which were used to construct a three-dimensional extinction map in r band. The map has a spatial angular resolution, depending on latitude, between 3 - 9 arcmin and covers the entire XSTPS-GAC survey area of over 6,000 deg^2 for Galactic longitude 140 < l < 220 deg and latitude -50 < b < 40 deg. In this process, a reference catalog consisting of 132,316 stars of essentially zero extinction with quality photometry from the XSTPS-GAC for optical bands and from the 2MASS and WISE for IR bands were also constructed. The reference catalogs were used to construct standard stellar locus employed by the SED fitting algorithm.

table2.dat: The 3D extinction map, resulting extinction as a function of Galactic longitude, latitude, and distance. For each position we provide the r-band extinction, and the corresponding sigma for each distance bin starting from 0.0 to 4.35 kpc, with a step of 150 pc. Note we use the Yuan+2013 extinction law which results Av=1.172Ar. ASCII formats.

 

sl_ref.dat: The reference catalog used to construct the standard stellar locus. ASCII formats.

 

gi_sl.dat: The standard stellar locus employed by the SED fitting algorithm. ASCII formats.

 

final_cata.sav: The catalog of final results, containing best-fit Ar and distance parameters for over 13 million stars. Saved by IDL and can be restored by IDL code: restore,'gi_sl.sav'.
